today we present Timeless resin molded prototypes; we have done tests to combine all models and can confirm that everything works.

We are continuing to improve the content where it could be "themed"; here are the news of the upgrades:

Order Tokens and Citadel Alliance Markers have been made larger to facilitate a quick score reading during the match; even the borders of the playing areas are now thicker to make recognition easier, without lightening the dark and gloomy atmosphere of the original art.

These are the latest visual changes we have developed to allow you to have the best possible product and a better viewing experience.

INTRODUCTION TO ADAPTABLETOP: GOAL VIP FOR DARKEST DOOM

We also want to mention our next Kickstarter just around the corner:

AdapTableTop - LED Edition. ATT is a modular system that enhances the gaming experience with boardgames and RPGs. It has a series of accessories useful to manage the components of the boardgames, putting the bulky ones under the surface. This is our third edition where we propose the LED version which will be an exclusive Kickstarter. We will launch the campaign on September 13th on Kickstarter. Here is the link to register for the launch.

Goal Vip for Darkest Doom

The Dice Tower "Darkest Doom" will be free to anyone wishing to purchase AdapTableTop during the campaign. It will also be made available in November on Backerkit for everyone. If anyone is interested in buying it without AdapTableTop, it will be available at a price of 9.90 €.

Next update:

The next update will be at the end of October when we will present the official Rulebook. These are the improvements that have been made:

• Improvement of the game flow thanks to the elimination of some minor rules that did not value in a uniform way some gameplay phases.

• New writing of some rules that are not always clear according to the different game situations

• More dynamic activities during the round: A new deck of common quests will allow all players, especially ones who had a considerable gap with their opponents during the game, to recover the score if everything is not going as hoped.

All these changes were already in development during the campaign and today we can say that after several months of testing the game has benefited greatly and we can share it with you. Our product quality policy in terms of gameplay and aesthetics is very strict. We don't want to say certain things if we can't actually keep them. For this reason, all the small but important gameplay improvements have been communicated now, after a careful and tight quarter of testing which confirmed a better result.

Welcome back to Betel, Guardians!

Today's update is about the development status and the new illustrations that will be part of the Darkest Doom expansions:

• Timeless

• The First Guardian

The final writing of the Darkest Doom rulebook is now being edited. It will be translated into English soon after and we will make it available to everyone in PDF.

Along with it, we will release the final "Tabletop Simulator" version of the game including the core box (no expansions, for now)

We are also completing the rules of the expansions, smoothly.

In September we will do a final phase of testing that will last 3 months and at the same time, we will complete the graphic novel and the latest aesthetic improvements of the expansions.

We will present everything to you as soon as it is available.

The goal is to enhance every little part to allow you more significant involvement in aesthetics and gameplay.

06.17 - Product improvements

Greetings Guardians!

Today we are introducing some of the visual improvements we are making to Darkest Doom. We have modified many layouts to increase the aesthetic impact of the cards.

We are also working on digital versions, these screenshots refer to Tabletop Simulator. It is 99% finished but before releasing the link, we would like to give you the final version of the rulebook which will be ready within a couple of months.

This is our current schedule: what we are doing

June - July

Control and refinement changes to the rulebook: as soon as it is 100% ready, we will make an update with the final version. We have fixed the text regarding the rules of game actions; they were identified with icons but left some doubts, especially in the first games. We have adjusted and optimized the game flow with fine but significant tuning.

The "Automa Bot" section is in progress; we have taken into account all your requests to present you a richer and more complete experience as a "Solo game". You can play solitaire using the miniatures of the other Guardians and not only see them interact in the game through the use of dedicated cards.

July - August

Final development of the Timeless rulebook and all available expansions.

Print of all the prototype miniatures present in Timeless and in the expansions.

August

Final draft of the Graphic Novel screenplay, beginning of the artistic production part.

Meanwhile, we are continuing to seek licensing agreements to translate Darkest Doom into other languages; we will update you on this too.

Each future monthly update will try to keep the schedule listed above. We are working hard to ensure you get a meaningful update every month. Our greatest interest is in demonstrating to you our commitment to further development of the project, in full respect of all of you who have supported Darkest Doom.

Greetings Guardians!

everything is ready for the second phase of the orders! Here's how it works:

Email surveys

Starting from the next few hours we will start sending invitations to enter the Backerkit platform and confirm your order. We will start with a smoke test that will cover a few backers and then, if there are no problems, we will send all the other invitations within the next 48 hours.

The email will come from an address associated with Backerkit; if you do not see it within the next 72 hours, check your spam box or the "promotions" section of GMAIL. In case you don't receive anything, you can contact me (Giuliano) at [email protected] and I'll check it out.

What you can do in this second phase

If you have chosen a € 99 pledge (Darkest Doom or Darkest Doom Early Bird) you will be asked to upgrade to the Guardian Edition with the same conditions as the Kickstarter, thus keeping the Early Bird if you have it.

Along with this decision, you will have to choose the language you want for your copy of the game.

If you have chosen a Guardian Edition pledge on Kickstarter, you will only have to choose the language.

Spanish unlocked!

As anticipated during the campaign, we are working hard to get localizations in other languages: it is now possible to have Darkest Doom fully localized in Spanish.

But our commitment continues and if more languages ​​are added, we will communicate to you how you can reopen your order and change it.

Addons

After choosing the language you can buy other addons or multiple copies of the pledges available during the campaign (this is a request that we received from many backers due to the huge discount compared to retail).

A bundle called "Extra addons" is available and it is highlighted as "Creator's choice". It contains everything that is not already present in the Guardian Edition and at a discounted price. In this way, you will make an ALL-IN of the entire Darkest Doom work.

Shipping fees

You will NOT have to pay the shipping costs now, they will be asked before the end of production so as to have the most realistic cost possible.

Duration of the pledge manager

Our estimate is to complete this phase by August. However, it is necessary to reach 90% of completed surveys to enter the pre-production phase, so the sooner we reach this quota, the sooner we can start the production process.

Greetings Guardians!

First of all, we thank all of you, backers, for your support, for your feedback, for your questions, and for every day we have spent together discovering the world of Betel cursed by Darkness.

We can't wait for you to play Darkest Doom too.  The most important thing for us at Game Start Studio is that the time you spend with it is full of fun, with friends or family.

As game designer and project manager, I (Mario) also thank all the development team; without you, nothing could have been born:

Denis, Claudio, Davide, Michele, Carlo, Laura, Ginevra, Ian, all the Testing Team and, most importantly, my partner in Game Start, Giuliano.

End-of-campaign information

For those unfamiliar with Kickstarter: credit cards will be charged after the campaign closes. Please check that the payment is successful, otherwise, you will lose access to the pledge manager. Kickstarter will attempt to charge every 48 hours 4 times (8 days in total).

After about 20 days from the closing of the campaign, we will invite you on Backerkit with an email to your registered address on Kickstarter.

Here is what you can do on Backerkit:

1- Purchase all the addons available in your Pledge

2-Change your Pledge with another version

3-Select a bundle that includes all the addons that are not already present in the Guardian Edition, with an extra discount.

the shipping costs will be asked next year, before the end of production. You don't have to pay them now.

We want to remind you that we are working to obtain localization in other languages (Spanish, Chinese and others). The licensing process is long but we are confident that we will reach the goal.

ORGANIZER BOX

This latest Goals unlocked was an extra that we added thanks to you and your requests (it is a feature of our campaigns to listen to the backers). We included the organizer only in the Guardian Editions because we found this sustainable; it was not possible to include it in the € 99 pledges for budget reasons. For these pledges, the organizer will still be purchasable as an addon.

the organizer may also contain expansions and addons not present in the Guardian Edition as well as miniature Relics and Metal Coins.

This Premium Pack will replace the Guardian Edition boxes. We don't want to produce extra stuff that you should then throw away; where we can we try not to waste resources.

Retailer Pledge and Late Pledge

Immediately after the end of the campaign, we will open a store on Backerkit. From that moment it will be possible to pre-order multiple bundles for retailers and make late pledges for backers.

We also tell you that Darkest Doom will be ported to both Tabletop Simulator and Tabletopia later this year.
